On Camp - Part 4 - Refuge in Audacity (also Trope of the Week)

I have a story to tell.

Once, a long time ago, I was driving in my grandfather's old car. It was OLD. Anyway, I was late for lunch, so I kinda gunned the motor a bit, and was (of course!) pulled over. The cop asked "Sir, do you know just how fast you were driving?"
"No, officer, my speedometer does not go that high."

Refuge in Audacity, in a picture, is as follows:
THE JOKER IS SCOWLING, FOR GOODNESS SAKES!

Camp Gay is the most famous form of Refuge in Audacity. When you are gay, you face ridicule from society. Society tries to hide you, tries to ignore you, according to the principle: If you cannot see it, then it doesn't exist.
Therefore, the best course of action is to flaunt it in everyone's faces. If they are forced to acknowledge it, then they cannot ignore your existence. And thus, by being constantly cheerful, you cannot be torn down and mocked.

K.O.
YOU WIN!
